India Contributed USD 500,000 to the UN Trust Fund for Counter-Terrorism

Current Context: India announced that it has contributed USD 500,000 to the United Nations Trust Fund for Counter-Terrorism.

• This has led to taking India’s contribution to the UN office to combat terrorism to over USD 1 million.
• With this contribution, until now India has contributed USD 1.05 million.
• The office of the UN Trust Fund for Counter-Terrorism was set up in 2017.
• The office aims to boost coordination and coherence across the Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact entities to have a balanced implementation of the four pillars of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
