Current Context: The Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ajay Prakash Sawhney launched the three initiatives of the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI).
MeitY Launched 3 Initiatives of NIXI
  • The initiatives are: IP Guru, NIXI Academy and NIXI-IP-INDEX.
  • These initiatives will support IPv6 awareness and its adoption in the country. The initiatives are supported by NIXI, Department of Telecommunication and MeitY.
  • IP Guru: This is an IPv6 expert panel that will grant technical support to Indian entities that want to adopt IPv6.
  • NIXI Academy: It will offer educational sessions about IPv6 to the people.
  • NIXI-IP-INDEX: The portal for the same is developed by NIXI which will display the IPv6 adoption rate in India and across the world.
