Current Context: NITI Aayog partnered with the Centre for Social and Behaviour Change, Ashoka University, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to launch the Poshan Gyan portal.
‘Poshan Gyan’—A National Digital Repository on Health & Nutrition
  • The Poshan Gyan is a national digital repository on health and nutrition.
  • The Poshan Gyan is basically a collection of communication materials that are framed by government agencies and other organisations to address the challenges of knowledge awareness and behaviour change in the nutrition area
  • The portal enables to search communication materials in 14 thematic areas of health and nutrition sector
  • It includes data related to antenatal care, complementary feeding, diet diversity, anaemia prevention etc.
  • The poshan gyan also has a crowdsourcing feature that allows anyone to submit the data on the website so that everyone gets the benefit of it
  • The data on the website are sourced and reviewed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Women and Child Development and other organisations
  • The website will be having a dedicated ‘Theme of the month’
