Rajasthan—First State to Provide Free Health Insurance to All

Current Context: Rajasthan has become the first state to grant free health insurance facility to all the citizens of the state.

• In this regards, the state government has commenced the registration process for Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme.
• Under this scheme, each family of the state will get an annual health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.
• The scheme includes 1576 packages and the procedures to treat various diseases and illnesses.
