SICCI partnered with IIT Kanpur

Current Context: The Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) partnered with the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) of IIT Kanpur.

• They have partnered to promote tech-based startups.
• Under this partnership, they held a launchpad competition named ‘SICCI-SIIC INNOVATION LAUNCHPAD’.
• They will work jointly to promote entrepreneurs from India and Singapore who are working on high-end technologies.
• The Launchpad event involves 9 pre-selected contestants (5 from Singapore and 4 from India).
• The participants will present their innovative ideas through a virtual platform.
• Two winners, each from India and Singapore will be declared and will be awarded a token of appreciation of SGD 2000 each.
• Thus the event will encourage start-ups to take advantage of the Singapore-India trade and technology corridor and leverage relevant market opportunities.
