  • The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) announced that India’s first Radioisotope Production (Reactor) and processing facility complex will be developed as PPP Model and it will be the first of its kind PPP Model. The facility will be used for the production and processing of isotopes in the world in terms of volume. The reactor will be developed by BARC and will be constructed by NPCIL.
  • The World Health Organisation (WHO) signed MoU with Switzerland to launch the first WHO BioHub Facility during the 74th World Health Assembly. The BioHub Facility will enable sharing of viruses and pathogens between labs and global partners. The facility will be set up at Spiez, Switzerland.
