- The DRDO conducted a successful test-firing operation of an extended-range version of the indigenously developed Pinaka rocket. The launching took place from a Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) at ITR, Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. The Pinaka Rocket System can destroy targets at distances up to 45 km. For testing operation, 25 Enhanced Pinaka Rockets were launched in quick succession against different range targets.

- The Ind-Ra (India Ratings and Research) has revised GDP growth rate for India. As per the rating agency, the GDP growth rate for India for FY22 to be at 9.6%. Earlier it has estimated the GDP growth rate at 10.1% for the same.
- The department of heavy industries, which comes under the Ministry of heavy industries and public enterprises has extended the tenure of a scheme called ‘FAME India Phase II’ for 2 years i.e. till March 2024.
