Curtain Raiser Event for the 7th International Day of Yoga- Ayush Ministry

Current Context: The Ministry of Ayush organised a curtain raiser event for the 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY).

• The event was organised in association with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY).
• The event observed the participation of Yoga Gurus and experienced Yoga exponents through a virtual platform.
• The event was organised to motivate community across the world to pursue yoga on daily basis in order to improve inner and outer health.
• The event was held under the theme of IDY 2021 “Be With Yoga, Be At Home”.
• During the event, a mobile app called “Namaste Yoga” was also launched.
• The app will serve as an information platform for the community and will help to create awareness and the importance of yoga in life.
