‘Goa Institution for Future Transformation (GIFT)’

Current Context: The Government of Goa established ‘Goa Institution for Future Transformation (GIFT)’.

• The GIFT is on the line of Think Tank NITI Aayog.
• It will perform the role of assisting, advising ad guiding the government to frame the policies and implement them.
• GIFT will also monitor sustainable development goals and will evaluate various developmental plans, programmes and schemes.
• It will be mentioned under Article 309 of the Indian Constitution to attain autonomy.
• The GIFT will also represent as knowledge hub Goa, which will work to showcase best practices to attain sustainable development of the State.
