Current Context: Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2021 was released.

• In the top 100 list, IISc Bangalore, IIT Ropar and IIT Indore have secured ranks in Asia.
• IISc Bangalore is ranked at 37th position, IIT Ropar is ranked at 55th position and IIT Indore is ranked at 78th rank position.
• The 1st rank is marked by Tsinghua University based in China.
• The 2nd and 3rd ranks are marked by China’s Peking University and the National University of Singapore respectively.
• The parameters considered for the ranking evaluation are: Teaching, Research, Knowledge transfer and International Outlook.
