Flipkart Partnered with PhonePe

Current Context: The e-commerce platform Flipkart partnered with PhonePe to launch a contactless ‘Scan and Pay’ feature for Flipkart’s pay-on-delivery orders.

• Earlier, the customers of Flipkart used to use PhonePe’s QR code solution for cash on delivery and used to pay digitally through any UPI app.
• But due to the new feature, the customers will be able to make contactless transactions and thus reduce personal contact.
• This mechanism will allow them safety and following the norms of social distancing as well.
