Interweave partnered with UN Women

Current Context: The Diversity consulting organisation named Interweave partnered with UN Women which is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment.

• They have entered into partnerships to help corporate sectors to implement United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles (UNWEP) in India.
• The principle was launched in 2010 by UN Women and UN Global Compact. It aims to boost women entrepreneurship skills and women empowerment through 7 principles.
• The 7 principles are: (1) Measurement and Reporting (2)Community Initiatives and advocacy (3) Enterprise development, marketing solutions (4)Education, Training (5) Employee health, well-being and safety (6) Equality between Men and Women at work (7) High-level corporate leadership.
• Each principle focuses on an area of the value chain across the workplace, marketplace and community.
• Under this partnership, Interweave will provide technical support to corporates to implement these principles. It will guide to establish high-level leadership commitment for gender equality to have fair work practices that include equal access to opportunities.
