Current Context: The subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) named NSE Foundation in partnership with NITI Aayog and UNICEF launched ‘Project CAVACH’.
‘Project CAVACH’—NSE Foundation, NITI Aayog and UNICEF
  • The ‘Project CAVACH’ is a programme launched to create awareness on COVID-19 vaccination in India.
  • The ‘Project CAVACH’ signifies ‘COVID-19 and Vaccination Assistance Campaign for Health’.
  • It will be executed in 5 Aspiration districts of India. The 5 aspirational districts are Nandurbar and Osmanabad in Maharashtra, Karauli in Rajasthan, Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu and Kiphire in Nagaland.
  • The project will be executed by getting together more than 30 community-based organisations on a single platform. These community-based organisations will work to address issues of vaccine hesitancy and resistance and will thus increase the number of people getting vaccinated.
  • The project will observe the participation of community network, youth volunteers, gram panchayats, SHG members to execute the project, create awareness and promote the importance of COVID-19 vaccines.
