‘Raj Kisan Organic’ Mobile App

Current Context: The Agriculture Minister of Rajasthan Lalchand Kataria launched the ‘Raj Kisan Organic’ mobile app.

• The app will help farmers and consumers to perform online purchases and sale activities of organic products in the state.
• The app was developed by the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan.
• The app will help the farmer community to search buyers to sell their organic produce like grains, veggies, fruits etc.
• The farmer or consumer can also register themselves on the app.
• The app was launched because the demand for organic products has increased in the state and it had become difficult for the buyers to locate organic farmers in the state. Therefore the app will grant connectivity between organic farmers and consumers or buyers.

• Lakes in Rajasthan: Ana Sagar Lake, Balsamand lake, Dhebar Lake, Jaisamand Lake, Rang Sagar lake, Uday Sagar Lake
• Dams in Rajasthan: Ranapratap Sagar Dam(Chambal River), Mahi Bajaj Sagar Dam (Mahi River), Bisalpur Dam (Banas River)
