Current Context: The Government of Assam has signed an MoU with NABARD and Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority (AIFA).
Assam Gov. signed MoU with NABARD and AIFA
  • The MoU was signed to have assistance support for various developmental projects which are being executed in Assam.
  • Under this MoU, capital intensive projects will be launched which will assist in the development activities of the state.
  • Around Rs, 13,200 crores of investment in infrastructure development domain at various sectors like education will be made.
  • The MoU will facilitate to the construction of various engineering colleges, medical colleges, schools, tourism centres etc .in the next 3 years in the state.
  • The funds will be used for the development of infrastructure from NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance (NIDA) and Rural Infrastructure Assistance to the state government (RIAS) in rural and semi-urban areas of the state.
