‘NeoBolt’--India’s First Indigenous Motorized Wheelchair Vehicle
  • It was developed by researchers from IIT Madras.
  • The ‘NeoBolt’ motorized wheelchair vehicle can be used on roads and even on uneven terrains areas.
  • It has a speed of 25 kmph max. It is available to the people at the price of approx. Rs 55000.
  • The wheelchair is powered by a Lithium-Ion Battery. For the per charging of the battery, it can travel upto 25km.
  • It offers users a convenient, safe and low-cost mode of outdoor mobility as compared to cars, auto-rickshaws or modified scooters.
  • The wheelchair is developed by Institute’s Centre for Rehabilitation Research and Device Development and is commercialized by Neo Motion startup.
