‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind’

Current Context: The ‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind’ was launched by India and Denmark.

It is part of the green strategic partnership between both nations.
It was launched by Union Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh, and Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Dan Jorgensen.
The center will be centered on four working groups namely: a) spatial planning b) financial framework conditions c) supply chain infrastructure d) standards and testing.
At the initial stage, it will focus on the offshore wind sector.
It will also work to include international governments, generate experience and best practices for the offshore wind sector.
It aims to become an international center for offshore wind and become the major platform for new and renewable energy.
