Current Context: The ‘Ek Pahal Drive’ was launched by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
‘Ek Pahal Drive’
  • It is the Pan-India Special Campaign that aims to grant Justice Delivery at the doorstep.
  • It was launched to encourage mass registration under Tele-Law and create aspiration of access to justice for people.
  • The campaign was jointly launched by the Department of Justice and NALSA.
  • The tele-law provides pre-litigation advice, consultation to beneficiaries by panel lawyers through a network that covers 51,434 Common Service Centres present in 50,000 Gram Panchayats of states and UTs together.
  • The campaign includes the deployment of 185 Mobile Vans and other vehicles to showcase films and documentaries which display the Access to Justice program.
  • Various initiatives like door-to-door campaigns, banner displays representing legal services, roadshows, nukkad nattak were held under the campaign to serve the goal like ‘abka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Nyaya’.
  • The campaign is being executed from 17th Sep to 2nd Oct 2021.
