- The NeGD comes under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
- The MoU was signed to set up Cyber Lab for the 'Online Capacity Building Programme on Cyber Law, Crime Investigation and Digital Forensics'.
- The cyber lab will allow police officers, cyber cells of states, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and judicial officers to gain skills to deal with cyber forensic cases in an efficient manner by following Indian Cyber Law.
- The cyber lab will provide skills, best practices, and proper standards to the officers as per the Indian Cyber Law guidelines.
- The partnership among the 3 entities will provide 9 months online PG diploma-certified course to the 1000 officers. Under this, the officers will be trained through practical approaches at the designated cyber lab at the campus of NLU Delhi.
- The cyber lab will be well equipped with Hybrid architecture which supports both virtual as well as a physical mode of training in the areas of Cyber Law, Cybercrime Investigation, and Digital Forensics.
- The NeGD will develop e-content based on the support received from faculty members.
- The NLIU,Bhopal is the lead academic partner for the course and the PG Diploma Certificate will be awarded by this entity.
