Current Context: The 6th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was held.

• It was attended by the Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman via video conference from New Delhi.
• The meeting was based on the theme of ‘Investing Today and Transforming Tomorrow’.
• The meeting was organized by AIIB in partnership with the Government of the UAE.
• The dignitaries discussed important matters related to the AIIB and its future goals.
• At the meeting, FM expressed her thoughts on the theme of ‘COVID-19 Crisis and Post-COVID Support’ during the Governor’s Roundtable Discussion.
• She also appreciated AIIB’s efforts to support financially its member nations during the pandemic situation.
• She also highlighted the reforms taken by GOI to enhance its economic status.
