India Export Initiative and IndiaXports 2021 Portal Launched

Current Context: The Union MSME Minister, Narayan Tatu Rane inaugurated the India Export Initiative and IndiaXports 2021 portal of the India SME Forum in a virtual manner.

• The India Export Initiative will help to enhance export and will lead to attaining a global manufacturing powerhouse for India.
• It will help to enhance the manufacturing base of the country.
• It will help to boost the exporting MSMEs and thus boost India’s export by 50% in 2022.
• It will also help to attain the objective of making India a USD 5 trillion economy.
• The initiative and the portal will support over 1 lakh MSME units that are working in the export sector.
• It will also promote around 30,000 MSME units to start the export activity.
• The initiative will conduct various sessions and opportunities in order to have instructor-based orientation for the MSMEs.
• The portal will be information and knowledge-based platform about the export activity in India for the MSMEs. It will display the latest trend in export and procedure for the export.
