Bhasha Sangam Initiative, Bhasha Sangam App

Current Context: The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched Bhasha Sangam initiative for schools in India.

• He also launched Bhasha Sangam Mobile App and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Mobile Quiz.
• The Ministry of Education has developed the Bhasha Sangam initiative under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat
• This initiative aims to teach basic sentences od daily usage in 22 Indian languages to the students
• Due to this, the students will be able to acquire basic conversational skills in various languages and in their mother language as well
• The initiative is developed by NCERT
• The Bhasha Sangam Mobile App is an initiative of DoHE, in partnership with MyGov. It is developed by Multibhashi startup
• The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Quiz will allow the students to get more knowledge about different regions, states, culture, national Heroes, monuments, traditions, tourist locations, languages, geography, history and topography of India
• The quiz is available in English and Hindi languages and will also be made available in 12 other different regional languages very soon
