The RBI constituted a Working Group on Digital Lending which included lending through Online Platforms and Mobile Apps. The group has submitted its report. The Chairman of the group is Jayant Kumar Dash, Executive Director, of RBI which studied aspects of digital lending activities in the regulated financial sector and by unregulated entities. The group will set up a nodal agency that will verify technological credentials of the Digital Lending Apps (DLAs) of the balance sheet lenders and Lending Service Providers (LSPs) operating in the digital lending ecosystem.
