Current Context: The Indian Police Foundation (IPF) has released IPF Smart Policing Index 2021.
IPF Smart Policing Index 2021
  • The index was topped by Andhra Pradesh Police with an overall score of 8.11 out of 10.
  • The 2nd and 3rd positions were marked by Telangana Police and Assam Police respectively.
  • The last position was marked by Bihar Police.
  • The survey for the index helps to find out the public’s perception about the police community and their level of trust in their state’s police.
  • The experts from IIT Kanpur, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) of Mumbai participated to conduct the survey.
