‘Janasevaka’ Scheme-- Karnataka

Current Context: The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai launched the ‘Janasevaka’ scheme.

• The scheme offers 58 government services at the doorstep of citizens of the state.
• During the first phase, the scheme will be rolled out in 198 municipal wards in Bengaluru.
• And the scheme will be implemented in the entire state by 26th Jan 2022.
• The services like caste certificate, property Khata certificate, old age, and widow pension schemes will be provided through this scheme.
• The scheme will reduce the gap between government and citizens.
