- Under the scheme, nutritious fodder which also known as cattle feed will be provided in vacuum packed bags of 25-30 kg to the cattle owners.
- This will be provided at the rate of Rs 2 per kg on a 30% subsidy.
- The cooperative communities will provide this cattle feed.
- The green fodder, corn, dry fodder will be used to prepare silage which will enhance the milk output of the cattle by 15 to 20%.
- Around 2000 farmers will do maize cultivation on 1000 acres of land, this will benefit one lakh farmers.
- A load of fodder on the head of women will also reduce. As currently, the women are carrying fodder on their heads in adverse weather conditions.
- The first phase of the scheme will be executed in 4 mountainous districts namely, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Almora, and Champawat.
