Current Context: The 10th Annual World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) report was released by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (Euricse).

• As per the report, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) was ranked as 'number one Cooperative' among the top 300 cooperatives in the world. It has held the same position as last year.
• The ranking was made as per the ratio of turnover over the GDP per capita.
• Therefore, IFFCO is contributing significantly to the GDP and economic growth of India
• The WCM report helps us to know robust, economic, and organizational cooperatives in the world
• In the overall ranking, IFFCO is ranked at 60th position in the 2021 report of WCM.
