Current Context: The first edition of the India Young Water Professional Programme was launched in a virtual manner.

  • The program observed the participation of more than 100 participants.
  • The program is being held under the National Hydrology Project which is a Central Scheme of the Department of Water Resources, and River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
  • It is supported by the Australian Water Partnership.
  • The India Young Water Professional Programme focuses on engaging training and learning model.
  • The project-based learning will take place through Situation Understanding and Improvement Projects (SUIP).
  • It will help to implement sustainable water management strategies.
  • A total of 20 participants are selected for the first edition of the program.
