- At the 20th meeting of India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military & Military-Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC), both the countries signed four different pacts in the domain of defence
- At the dialogue, India signed a contract with Russia to procure more than six lakh AK –203 rifles. This was signed under Indo-Russia Rifles Private Limited Programme. The manufacturing of the rifles will be made at the cost of Rs 5,000 crores.
