Current Context: India and Vietnam have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) in order to develop a partnership in the fields of digital media.

  • The LoI was signed between India’s Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, and Vietnam’s Minister of Information and Communication, Nguyen Manh Hung.
  • Under the LoI, both the nations will share information and experience in order to develop policies and regulatory norms in digital media and social networks domains.
  • They will also work to develop capacity building and training programs in order to grant training to the media professionals of both nations.
