SIDBI signed MoU with West Bengal

Current Context: The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has signed an MoU with the Government of West Bengal.

• The MoU was signed to develop the MSME ecosystem in West Bengal.
• In this regard, the SIDBI’s project management unit (PMU) will work to develop MSME in the state.
• The PMU will analyze current strategies and frameworks of MSMEs in the state and will accordingly guide stakeholders to develop sector-specific products.
• It will also develop an expert agency in partnership with the MSME department of the state to execute the objectives of MoU.
• It will support the MSMEs with funds, marketing strategies, digital platforms, etc.
