India Skills 2021

Current Context: The national competition of India Skills 2021 concluded recently which observed the participation of more than 200 participants.

• The participants were felicitated by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
• Around 270 winners of the Competition were felicitated with 61 gold, 77 silver, 53 bronze, and 79 medallions of excellence.
• Odisha topped in the ‘IndiaSkills 2021’ contest by winning 51 medals. The medal tally for Odisha includes 10 gold, 18 silver, 9 bronze, and 14 medallions.
• The second position was marked by Maharashtra by winning 30 medals in total.
• The third position was marked by Kerala by winning 25 medals in total.
• The India Skills 2021 was organized by the National Skill Development Corporation.
• The winners will also get an opportunity to compete in the World Skills International Competition in Shanghai, China which will be held in Oct 2022.
