- The Mobile Diagnostic Laboratory (I-LAB) is the first of its kind COVID-19 testing facility.
- It performs RT-PCR test and Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test for the North-East part of India.
- It was launched in Mizoram.
- The Mobile Diagnostic Laboratory (I-LAB) is developed by Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) which comes under the Science and Technology Ministry of India.
- It can also be used to test other infectious diseases like TB, HIV.
- Further, tests like mammography and vision testing will also be added to the testing lab.
