PASSEX Exercise

Current Context: The navies of India and Russia conducted the PASSEX exercise.

It was conducted at the port of Cochin, in the Arabian Sea.
Indian Navy’s INS Kochi took part in the exercise.
Russian Navy’s RFS Admiral Tributes, Russian Naval Missile Cruiser Varyag, and Russian Tanker Boris Butoma took part in the exercise.
The participants showcased interoperability between the two navies and performed various operations like cross-deck helicopter operations and seamanship activities.
The PASSEX exercise was held to enhance interoperability, develop understanding, and have friendly relations between both countries.
