Philippines signed Deal with BrahMoS Aerospace Private Limited

Current Context: Philippines has entered into a deal agreement with India’s Brahmos Aerospace Private Limited.

• The deal was signed for the supply of shore-based anti-ship variants of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
• The deal of USD 374.96 million was signed for the same.
• The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is the joint product of Russia and India.
• This will be the 1st export order of the product.
• Under the deal, 3 batteries, training to the operators, training to the maintainers will be provided.
• The deal also includes an Integrated Logistics Support Package.
