4th India-Australia Energy Dialogue

Current Context: The 4th India-Australia Energy Dialogue was held recently.

• It was co-chaired by Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, RK Singh.
• The Australian delegation was led by Energy and Emissions Reduction Minister Angus Taylor.
• The dignitaries discussed the Energy Transition topic.
• They assured to cooperate in sectors like renewables, energy efficiency, storage, EVs, critical minerals, mining, etc.
• Indian side discussed Climate Finance.
• They also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to reduce the cost of new and renewable energy technologies and scale up their deployment to reduce global emissions.
