AIM, NITI Aayog and USAID entered into Partnership

Current Context: The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) entered into partnership.

• They have partnered under the Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH) initiative.
• Under the partnership, all the entities will offer improved affordable and quality healthcare facilities to the vulnerable populations in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, rural and tribal areas.
• They will develop a capital pool of $100+ million which will be evolved from the private sector and bilateral organization.
• The funds will be used to offer healthcare solutions.
• They will also work for innovations across the healthcare sector and for this, a Call for Proposals for healthcare innovators and entrepreneurs in India is made.
• They will enhance the service delivery of the SAMRIDH initiative.
