  • The Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary in Gujarat and Bakhira Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh are listed as Wetlands of International Importance by the Ramsar Convention. Due to this, the total number of Ramsar sites in India goes up to 49.
  • The United States was India’s top trading partner in 2021 with a trade of $112.3 billion. The 2nd and 3rd positions are marked by China and UAE respectively.
  • The Aravalli Biodiversity Park-based Gurugram, Haryana was named as India’s first Other Effective area-based Conservation Measures (OECM) site.
  • India signed MoU with Nepal to construct a motorable bridge over the Mahakali River. The bridge will connect Dharchula from India to Darchula from Nepal. It will be a 110 km long bridge.
