India Press Freedom Report 2021

Current Context: The India Press Freedom Report 2021 was released by the Rights and Risks Analysis Group.

• Jammu and Kashmir have topped the report among all states and UTs.
• In J&K journalists and media, houses were targeted at the most level in 2021. The targeted count is 25.
• Then the further ranks are followed by Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh respectively.
• As per the report, 13 media houses and newspapers were targeted, a total of 108 journalists was attacked, and 6 journalists were killed in India.
