India's First Smart Managed EV Charging Station

Current Context: India's first Smart Managed EV Charging Station was set up at Mayur Vihar in east Delhi. It is located at BYPL's 11 kV sub-station building in Mayur Vihar Extension Phase-I.

• It is commissioned by BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL).
• It can charge 5 electric vehicles at the same time.
• Soon numbers of such EV Charging Station will be set up in south, west, east, and central Delhi.
• Currently, it is launched as a pilot project.
• The fundings for the same were granted by Nordic Innovation.
• It will be executed by Fortum Charge and Drive.
• It can be integrated with BYPL's SCADA system and can be managed remotely. The BYPL's SCADA system is the major system of the discom.
• The user can also pre-book an appointment, find out the location and make payment of the EV Station by using the mobile application which is integrated with the EV Station itself.
