Current Context: The government of West Bengal has launched Paray Shikshalaya.
‘Paray Shikshalaya’ Programme—West Bengal
  • The Paray Shikshalaya means Neighbourhood Schools.
  • The program is launched for primary and pre-primary students of the state. 
  • The students will be taught in an open space.
  • They will be offered with mid-day meals facility as well under the same program.
  • The para teachers and primary school teachers will be part of this program.
  • The elementary education to children of Class 1-5 will be granted.
  • The students will also be encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities.
  • The South 24 Parganas District's Information and Culture department is taking efforts to fulfill the objectives of this program.
