Current Context: Indian Army Contingent for Joint Exercise with Uzbekistan Army Departs for Yangiarik in Uzbekistan.

• It’s a joint training exercise between Indian and Uzbekistan Armies.
• This year it is being conducted at Yangiarik, Uzbekistan from 22 to 31 March 2022.
• Focus - To Counter-Terrorism operations in semi-urban terrain under a United Nations Mandate.
• Grenadiers battalion of the Indian Army has been nominated for the exercise.
