MeitY Startup Hub partnered with Google

Current Context: The MeitY Startup Hub has partnered with Google.

• The MeitY Startup Hub is an initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
• They have partnered for the program named Appscale Academy.
• Under the program, both entities will support a group of 100 Indian mid-stage startups to develop their apps and games.
• The startups are shortlisted as per their application of the product, quality of the product scalability, and innovation. Around 400 startups had applied for the program, out of which 100 are selected.
• The 6 months of training will be given under the program in which the 100 selected startups will be trained through a customized curriculum.
• There will be virtual instructor-led webinars, self-learning material, and mentorship sessions.
• Topics like app quality, app design, growth, go global, google play policy, and data safety will be covered.
