‘Sambhav’ and ‘Svavlamban’ Initiatives

Current Context: The Union Minister of State for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma launched ‘Sambhav’ and ‘Svavlamban’ initiatives.

• These initiatives were launched at the International Summit on Plastics Recycling and Waste Management.
• Both the initiatives were launched to solve the issue of plastic waste in India.
• These initiatives will motivate entrepreneurs, especially from aspirational districts to develop solutions to recycle plastic which is the foremost step towards innovation and sustainability in the Plastic industry.
• They should develop solutions for plastic waste management and recycle plastic profitably.
• The International Summit on Plastics Recycling & Waste Management was organized by MSME Ministry in association with The All-India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA).
