- Science & Technology has decided to promote Start-up in the latest Daylight Harvesting Technology. This will reduce carbon footprint and enhance energy efficiency.
- As per the MoU, TDB will grant Rs 5 Crore of the 10 Crore project to the Skyshade company.
- The company will use the funds to develop new technologies for basement illumination on a 24x7 basis.
- The company will design & build operations of large skylight domes to build atriums and solar thermal technologies.
- They have also launched two more innovative solutions named as Human centric-climate adaptive building facades and Central integrated daylighting system which will also help to serve the objective of MoU.
- Daylight Technology means bringing natural sunlight inside the rooms. The solar energy spectrum has 45% energy as visible light which is useful to harvest building illumination to about 9-11 hours a day. This will reduce electric light consumption.
