Webinar Series “Swachh Talks”

Current Context: SBMU launched the peer-learning webinar series “SwachhTalks” on 25th March 2022.

• Theme – SafaiMitra Suraksha in 100 lighthouse cities.
• Nodal Ministry – Launched under the aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs under Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban 2.0.
• Aim- The agenda of this webinar is to end manual scavenging in identified 100 cities and shift to machine-based drainage cleaning to ensure the safety and security of our SafaiMitra.
• The following 6 cities presented their good practices:-

1. In population more than 10lakh – Indore and Navi Mumbai
2. In population between 3-10lakh – Nellore, and Jamshedpur
3. In population less than 3lakh – Dewas, and Karimnagar
