  • In order to rectify the historical injustice inflicted upon the slaves, particularly the black men, who were forced to serve the interest of the rich during the 17th and 18th centuries, Harvard University has come up with a 100 mn USD fund.
  • This fund is targeted towards awarding scholarships to such students whose parents have served as slaves. It is a humanitarian gesture and tries to bring equity and social justice to the American Society.
  • The fund would take care of all the expenses of such students enrolled at the university and would also help get them suitable jobs.
