Current Context: Indian official has been appointed as vice-chairperson in the Council Standing Committee on Administration and Management of (ITU) giving India a leadership position.

  • ITU’s Council meeting was held in Geneva.
  • Aprajita Sharma- an IP&TAF Service officer, was appointed as vice-chair of the Standing Committee on Administration and Management.
  • She will be Vice-chairperson for the years 2023 and 2024 and Chairperson for 2025 and 2026.
