Current Context: Hon. President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind inaugurated the Madhavpur Ghed Fair, at Porbandar Gujarat.
Madhavpur Ghed Fair
  • The Madhavpur Ghed Fair is a century-old fair organized in the memory of Lord Krishna and her consort Rukmini.
  • This fair celebrates the marriage ceremony of Rukmini and Lord Krisha. Rukmini is said to belong to the current Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The Ministry for Development of North East (MoDNER) is organizing this fair in association with the Govt of Gujarat.
