Current Context: A curtain raiser program to promote the conference on the National Calendar of India was held recently at IIT Guwahati.

2 day Conference will be held on April 22-23, 2022 at Ujjain and Dongla (Madhya Pradesh)
Ujjain and Dongla are placed on the Tropic of Cancer.
The conference is being organized by the Ministry of Culture, Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Science and many other scientific organizations together.
‘Indian National Calendar’, is based on Saka Era with Chaitra as its first month and a normal year of 365 days.
It is scientific expression of India’s identity and was adopted constitutionally by the parliament in 1957.
